All pieces are to be from own original books.

STRICTLY - NO PHOTOCOPIES! Only the judges will have a photocopy and these will be destroyed after the competitions are completed.

The following age classes require the following books:

1. 7 years and under.  Own choice of books.
2. 8 years and under.  Magic on Guitar OR Initial Exam Syllabus.
3. 10 years and under.  Melody Book 1 OR Preliminary Exam Syllabus - Leap Frog Extra Songs Book - Melody Outline [for composing own melodic tune.]  NZMSM Supplementary Book 2. [For open Acoustic or Electric class G6]
4. 11 years and over.  Preparatory Exam Syllabus.  Melody Outline [for composing own melodic tune - dual play or fingerstyle]
5. 12 years and under.  Preparatory Exam Syllabus.  Melody Outline  [for composing own melodic tune - dual play or fingerstyle]   NZMSM Supplementary Book 2. [For open Acoustic or Electric class G6] 
6. 13 years and under.  Melody Book 2.  NZMSM Supplementary Book 2.  Melody Outine [for composing own melodic tune.
7. 15 years and under.  NZMSM Supplementary Book 2. Dual Play.  Melody Outline [for composing own melodic tune.

FOOTNOTE:  All duets must be from origional music, and both guitarists to play different pieces.

There will be a $5.00 hire fee for any books borrowed from studio library for long term study.
